Glasgo (Glasko) Village

Glasco Village, located in Griswold, Connecticut, is named after Isaac C. Glasko (1776–1861), a man of mixed Native American and African American heritage. In 1806, Glasko purchased land in the area and established a blacksmith shop, which became a central part of what is now Glasco Village. His contributions to the community have left a lasting impact, and the village bears his name as a testament to his legacy.
