John Treadwell Norton House

John Treadwell Norton was an avid abolitionist who was one of the founding fathers of the Connecticut Anti-Slavery Society. He helped to bring the Mende to Farmington following their release. He helped to facilitate their care and shelter until enough money was raised to get them back to their home in Sierra Leone, Africa. (Private Home)
